DNC Ears uses a patient centered approach to determine hearing aid candidacy combined with support provided by a family member, caregiver or friend.  It begins with a thorough case history, otoscopic inspection, and an audiological assessment.  Dr. Sosa will review the test results with you and conduct a needs assessment to determine if you are a hearing aid candidate.  This information will help guide your individualized treatment plan in order to establish goals and understand the realistic benefits and limitations of amplification.  Occasionally, specific conditions warrant a physician referral.  Other times, certain types of hearing loss can be treated medically and/or surgically, or may warrant further testing.  A medical clearance is always in the patient's best interest.
